In the very first episode of 16 and Pregnant, fans met Maci Bookout—a spirited Tennessee teen juggling cheerleading, softball, and what she called her “wild side.”
Her then-fiancé, Ryan Edwards, a thrill-seeker into dirt bikes and four-wheelers, had proposed after the couple learned Maci was expecting. As the series famously began each time: “I’m pregnant.”
Now, 16 years later, Maci is 33 and has closed the chapter on pregnancy. She’s mom to 16-year-old Bentley, whom she shares with Ryan, and two younger children—Jayde, 10, and Maverick, 9—with her husband of eight years, Taylor McKinney.
Though her relationship with Ryan ended before that first episode even wrapped, the two have entered a surprisingly positive phase. Maci recently celebrated Ryan’s engagement to Amanda Conner and the February birth of their daughter, Presley. Ryan also has two children, Jagger (10) and Stella (5), from his previous marriage to Mackenzie Standifer.
In a January interview with E! News, Maci had nothing but praise for Amanda: “She has been a game-changer, honestly. We’re very close friends, and she has amazing energy. She’s genuine, and she really loves and cares about both Ryan and Bentley—which is everything I could hope for.”
