Miss Kay Recovering After Health Struggles Following Phil Robertson’s Death
Miss Kay Robertson is on the road to recovery.
The Duck Dynasty matriarch’s health has significantly improved in recent months following the heartbreaking loss of her husband, Phil Robertson, who died on May 25 at age 79 after battling Alzheimer’s disease.
“She’s doing much better now,” her son Willie Robertson told Fox News Digital in a July 16 interview. “It’s amazing how much she’s turned things around. I think she went through a period of deep sadness after losing Dad. After being with someone for over 60 years, losing your soulmate takes a toll — especially as you get older.”
Willie went on to say that his 77-year-old mom is regaining her strength and spirit: “She was having a hard time, but she’s bounced back. She went to church recently, she’s traveling again — she’s even back on our show.”
Willie’s wife, Korie Robertson, also shared how meaningful it’s been to have Miss Kay back on camera for Duck Dynasty: The Revival, and how encouraging it is to see her reengaging with family and life.
