Nicki Minaj and SZA’s Friendship May Be Fading Fast
Things seem to have taken a turn between Nicki Minaj and SZA.
The tension between the two artists escalated after Nicki appeared to take aim at the Snooze singer with a string of pointed messages. In response, SZA didn’t hold back, posting a sharp reply of her own.
But the drama didn’t start there. It began when Nicki publicly called out Punch, a fellow rapper and executive at Top Dawg Entertainment — the same label SZA is signed to — accusing him of targeting her on social media without cause.
“So glad I have proof of being bullied and lied on by a man publicly,” Nicki, 42, wrote on X (formerly Twitter) on July 15. “On a platform I use for my job — after I turned down his business offer multiple times.”
Not long after Nicki’s post, SZA, 35, chimed in with a cryptic tweet of her own: “Mercury retrograde… don’t take the bait lol silly goose.” Though she didn’t mention anyone by name, Nicki quickly interpreted it as a jab and clapped back with, “Go draw your freckles back on, bookie.”
The online back-and-forth has left fans wondering whether this once-friendly relationship is now officially on the rocks.
