Dolores Catania is back to feeling strong after a recent health scare.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey star opened up about her recovery, months after undergoing a heart procedure.
“I was diagnosed with AFib, where it felt like my heart was pounding out of my chest,” the 54-year-old told E! News. “If you ever feel a flutter or irregular heartbeat, don’t brush it off. A lot of people assume it’s anxiety, but it’s worth seeing a cardiologist just to be safe.”
Due to the surgery, Dolores had to pause her use of Mounjaro—an injectable weight loss medication similar to Ozempic, which she had been using for a few years to manage her weight.
“I ended up gaining about 15 pounds in just over a month,” she said. “Now that I’ve restarted it, I’m feeling healthier and have already lost 10.”
Still, returning to the semaglutide-based treatment after her procedure wasn’t easy—it brought back the familiar, tough side effects she had experienced before.
