The 52nd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards are celebrating the top talent in daytime TV — and E! News is among the standout nominees.
The show is up for Outstanding Entertainment News Series, competing alongside Entertainment Tonight, Access Hollywood, and Extra. This isn’t E! News’ first recognition in the category either — it previously earned nominations in 2023, 2020, and multiple times since the category was introduced in 2014. Going further back, E! made a splash in 1995 when Talk Soup won Outstanding Special Class Program, just a few years after the network launched in 1991.
The upcoming ceremony, scheduled for October 17 in Pasadena, California, will also spotlight excellence across a wide range of daytime programming. New categories introduced this year include Outstanding Culinary Cultural Series, Outstanding Emerging Talent in a Daytime Drama Series, and Outstanding Regional Content in a Daytime Genre.
As for the inaugural nominees in those new categories? Titles like BBQ High, Chasing Flavor with Carla Hall, Ingrediente: Mexico, and TrueSouth lead the culinary cultural lineup. Meanwhile, actors Christian Weissmann and Lisa Yamada (The Bold and the Beautiful), Ashley Puzemis and AnnaLynne McCord (Days of Our Lives), and Olivia d’Abo (The Bay) are all up for Outstanding Emerging Talent in a Daytime Drama Series.
