Tanner Martin Has Been Laid to Rest, Surrounded by Love and Tributes
Just one week after sharing news of his own passing in a heartfelt video posted to the Instagram account he shared with wife Shay Martin, influencer Tanner Martin was honored by family and friends at his funeral.
“He was always just generally happy,” Tanner’s father, Thomas, said during an emotional eulogy at the July 5 service. “He wanted to be everyone’s friend, and he assumed—at least when he was young—that most people wanted to be his friend. He was always switched on to be happy and friendly. It is an honor and pleasure to be his dad—and it still is.”
Thomas also offered a glimpse into Tanner’s final days, sharing how the 30-year-old spent cherished time with his loved ones.
“During Tanner’s last week, his brother Spencer and I sat with him and watched the original Star Wars trilogy,” he recalled. “We also watched Raiders of the Lost Ark and The Lord of the Rings trilogies.”
Tanner passed away following a long and courageous battle with cancer, leaving behind a legacy of positivity, resilience, and deep connection with those who followed his journey.
