Carmen and Lupita Andrade want people to stop comparing them to Abby and Brittany Hensel.
The 23-year-old conjoined twins and social media influencers recently addressed a video made by another content creator, who used one of their clips to explain aspects of the Hensel twins’ lives.
In a response video, Carmen voiced her frustration: “I don’t get why you keep tagging us or using us as some kind of reference point—”
Lupita chimed in with sarcastic air quotes, adding, “Or the ‘tea.’”
Carmen explained that even though both sets of twins are conjoined, that doesn’t mean their bodies function the same way. “When we’re talking about ourselves,” she said, “it’s specific to our situation—like how we share a bloodstream. They might not.”
The sisters also shared that while they’re naturally curious about others, including fellow conjoined twins, they don’t believe in crossing personal boundaries just to satisfy curiosity.
