Rymir Satterthwaite firmly believes he is biologically connected to Jay-Z.
But in recently filed court documents obtained by E! News, the rapper—born Shawn Carter—accuses Rymir, along with his godmother and guardian Lillie Coley, of “harassing” him with ongoing paternity claims.
The June 16 filing from Jay-Z alleges that a lawsuit submitted by 30-year-old Satterthwaite and Coley is merely the latest chapter in what he describes as “decades of harassment.” The rapper, who shares three children—Blue Ivy, 13, and twins Rumi and Sir, 8—with wife Beyoncé, states in the documents that the accusations are “fabricated” and have been dismissed by multiple courts in the past.
“These false claims have already been reviewed and rejected,” the legal filing asserts, noting that continued pursuit of the case has previously led to a contempt order against the plaintiffs.
Jay-Z’s legal team also requested an extension to formally respond to the May 3 lawsuit, arguing that it was not properly served and that the rapper was unaware of it until early last month. His lawyers have asked for an additional four weeks to review the complaint and decide how to proceed.
